Manganji

Chikouzan Kannoin Manganji is a famous temple of the Chisan sect of Shingon Buddisum.
The main object of veneration is the Kongokai Dainichi Nyorai.
The temple is said to have been founded at the end of the Heian period in the 12 century

The building of the Manganji ground is one of the finest temple established in 1970.

In the temple’s ground, is the Hitokotojizo.
It is said that when you pray and wish one word to the Hitokotojizo, your wish comes true.

Grand pagoda made entirely of cypress wood,erected in 1990.
The object of veneration in the pagoda is the Taizokai Dainichi Nyorai.

Todoroki fudoson

The Todoroki Fudoson temple have the Todoroki Valley. It was fouended at the end of the Heian period(794-1192).

Todoroki Fudoson is brightly coloured by various flowers during the year.
In Summer season, the cool atmosphere that Todoroki Fudoson provides,serves as a refuge for many people escaping from heat and humidity.

The waterfall in Todoroki Valley is renowned as Fudo’s riken(wisdom sword) waterfall. Some say the name “Todoroki” came from the word “todoroku(resound)” referring to the roaring sound of the waterfall.

In the precinct there is a cafe Setsugetsuka and Shikinohana. Enjoy tea and sweets with the seasons.AM11:00～PM16:00(LO15:30). Closed in the rain.In winter, this store is only open on Sat, Sun and holidays.
